OT: Need life advice

Greetings everyone. This is my first FOFC alias, and I use it only because I need worldly women advice. I'll post an excerpt from an E-mail I sent to one of my buddies tonight. Feel free to post any thoughts/opinions. Your help would be greatly appreciated!!!

"This is probably the weirdest of them all...I'm kind of hooking up with this girl. It's been really weird how things have happened. She started working at my job last September. At first I thought she was too talkative, but then I got used to her. She's been with her boyfriend for over a year now, but I know she's not happy. Talking with my boss today, she's also of the opinion that she needs to "kick him to the curb." I think she's been looking for a reason, and now she has one (ME!!!). We've had weekly friendly gatherings like 4 times I think, and each time she's been the last one to leave. Most people bail around midnight, but she's hung around til 2-2:30 AM. That is, until last time...when she didn't leave til 4:45 AM! We just watched TV and talked about stuff. She really opened up to me that night, complaining about her boyfriend and just having other misc. talks. I dunno when I started to like her or how it happened (since I figured she was in a serious relationship and I was screwed). I think it was about 2-3 months ago now. I don't even remember how it started...probably the fact that we have really good conversations and she laughs at my jokes! It takes a rare woman to do that So yeah, I dunno WTF is going on. She just started training to become an asst. manager, and since I'm now leaving the store there won't be a conflict of interest. I think the timing for this is about perfect...except she's still technically with her boyfriend. She tried having a talk with him about it, and she said she just ended up crying. I think they both know the end is near. I gotta play it really cool and relaxed. I don't wanna press her into anything too soon, cuz one serious relationship right after another=bad. I'll give her as much time as she needs.

I had a hunch that she liked me, just because of how she was acting. When she was here the other night (til 4:45 AM), she said something about wondering what my room looked like and I said "do you wanna see my room?" and she was like "sure." Then we came up here, played You Don't Know Jack on the PC, and just sat here and talked. She was really checking the place out that night. But yet, it wasn't even this that had me convinced that she liked me. It was something she said on Friday night (the last night me&her closed together). We were walking around talking about her situation, and at times it seemed like she was near tears. I said something, then she responded saying how she wasn't happy with her boyfriend blah blah blah, then she said "and I like this other guy." I was floored, though I played it off like it was no big deal. I was thinking of all of our 5-hour conversation the other night, and not once did she mention a guy other than her man. It's GOTTA be me! Plus, I ran this part by my boss and she said it sounded like it would be me because "there's no reason for her to not tell you the guy's name...unless it's you." The boss recommended trying to be more "touchy-feely" with her. "Don't throw her down and kiss her, just try elbowing/joke hitting her." Sounds like a decent plan, except I haven't done that with her EVER!!! I guess that's cuz we work together and that'd be sexual harrassment

Oh well, we'll see what happens tomorrow. We're supposed to play tennis at 1 PM, even though I don't expect her to show. I mean, we talked about it on Saturday night, and I asked if she needed me to call and remind her. She said she'd be okay since it was only a couple of days away and that since it was after her first day of training, she'd have lots of horror stories to tell me. If she don't show, I'll call her cell at 1:30, and if she does show...wow. I think that'll say more than most words. Every other event she's come over for (aka weekly gatherings) has been with a group of people, but this time it'll be just me and her. Hopefully we'll play for about 30-45 minutes (we're both out of shape), then come here and hang til about 4 PM (cuz we both work at 5). Very valuable face time.

I handed my coworker money tonight to get me food and she was like "what's wrong?" and I was like "huh?" and she's like "your hands are shaking." I'm not a guy who deals well with change...I get very nervous

5:52 AM and I'm feeling pretty wiped, but I can't sleep. So so nervous about the girl. So yeah, her name is **** and she's really cool. She's entering her 2nd year at college and she's only 19 (!!!). She's a young whipper snapper. We've even got to the point where we can joke about each other's ages. She calls me a geezer, I call her a whipper snapper, and we have a good laugh. Also, anytime I mention something from the 90's, she'll say "Ew! I was only in 5th grade!" (or whatever year it was). That makes me laugh and get jokingly angry ;-) She's a short one, only like 5'2", blue eyes (I think), and shoulder-length brown hair. It was red at the beginning of the year. She's trying to grow it out now. She's put on some weight this year, but not enough for it to matter to me (ahhh, the joys of starting college). It's weird, my attraction to her isn't sexual or anything. Like, it's a personality attraction. Usually at work I see lots of hot chicks and think that they're hot. But it's not like that with ****. I dunno. She's definitely cute and all, but I haven't made this kind of mental connection with a person in...well, several years. It's been a while. That's what I mean when I talk about the mental connection.

I haven't hung out with a girl in like 2 years, and it's weird to be feeling like this. My life is usually very simple...work, hang with buds, play my games...that's it! But now with an imminent promotion and the whole girl thing, I'm confused as hell. My body hasn't felt this uncomfortable in a long time. I thought I had crushed all my emotions, and here they are bubbling up again! LOUSY EMOTIONS!!!"

That's it. Hopefully she'll be here in 7 hours for tennis. Fun fun fun. Please vote in the poll to express how screwed I am!!!
