Fantasy Baseball Advice Needed

Ok, im in 1st place in a 10 team NL only league, 5x5. I'm sitting in the 2nd position in the waiver wire which means that I'm in an excellent position to nab anyone who gets traded from the AL to the NL, but I'm also in a position to put in a claim on David Wright. I can either grab up Wright and hope that no one better comes along or pass on Wright in the hopes that someone better does come along, quite a quandry. I'm 19 points ahead of my main competition in the batting categories and If I pass on Wright he will no doubt snag him up (He's 3rd in the waiver wire order), which could be dissaster for me. Right now I'm leaning towards picking up Wright and praying that a positional stud doesnt get traded from the AL. Any thoughts? What Would You Do?

I would pick him up ONLY in the event you are in a long-term keeper league. Wright is going to be something special in a few years, but he's as green as rookies get, and he looked pretty shell-shocked in his ML debut.

If you don't have keepers year-to-year, or are playing in an ESPN league where you only get to keep 3 guys, I'd pass and wait for the big AL stud (Delgado?) to be traded over.

From what I've read, it's unlikely Wright will be traded but he's still a rookie so, like Toddzilla said, unless you get to keep about 10 players and it's a long term league, then it's probably not worth it.

Keep an eye out for Delgado. Toronto will ask him again to waive his no-trade clause, and if something with the Dodgers works out, I'm guessing he'd go. His numbers for the year may not be great, but if he turns it on...

Keep your waiver wire position. You're in the lead and everyone else has to catch up. At this point, don't beat yourself.

Again, unless this is a keeper league...then snag 'em.

I would keep the waiver position. The Mets aren't hitting right now and Write is very green, who is your third baseman currently?
