Somewhat interesting...

So...I bought a new trainee end of last season, high solid keeper. 2 weeks and he was at excellent. Since then he's gotten 4 weeks of training, supposedly, yet I honestly can't tell for sure. I bought him when he has a value of 402K, he's now excellent+4, supposedly, and is valued at 426k. Yeah yeah, he dropped 3 levels of form, to be in poor form, but this week he didn't drop a level of form and still lost value by 8k. I'm getting really disheartened. This is a kid who theoretically should pop to formidable next week at 5 weeks of training, maybe the week following at 6. Just sucks that after 4 weeks of training he's valued less than he was before the 4 weeks of training. Grrr.

Did I mention that this situation is just a little bit more than annoying? No? It is!

Just because he did not drop a level in form does not mean he did not drop in form.

Not always. Last year, I rode great form to a lucky second place finish. This year, I've been robbed of the service of my overpriced best defender by his form. Or lack thereof.

Heh, he had a high of 489k the week after he popped to excellent. Been downhill since. And daed, I know that he did indeed drop form again within poor, but it seems to me that training should be adding 40-50k at his level per week. That's a huge form drop within poor if he did indeed get training.

I've noticed that the "hit" to TSI or Assessed Value (whichever system you use, old or new) seem to get extreme once you get down around poor. Also, remember that form, just like skills, is a range. Odds are this player went from a very high poor form to a very low poor form, with the TSI/Assessed Value difference being greater than the gain the player experienced from skill training. I've seen this sort of thing on occasion, especially with younger and therefore lower-skilled trainees, where the TSI penalty for a form drop exceeds the TSI gain from skill training for that given week.

It sounds like logic may not be of much comfort to you , but either he's getting his training on schedule and will pop next week, no matter what the TSI says, or he's the only player among the 10 million in Hattrick who is untrainable. The first choice is a bit more likely.

I understand all that, of course. It's just gonna be truly funny if he does indeed pop to formidable next week, cause he's gonna be one of the lowest valued(TSI'd if you will) formidable keepers in the HT world! Short of a miracle he won't be over 500k value next week.

Well, it's really just that ever since the week after he hit excellent keeper his value has steadily dropped. I know the reasons why, of course, and I understand that he's getting training cause he is playing in games, and my other trainee is going up in value. It's just somewhat comical, and yes annoying, that after 4 weeks of training at excellent he's valued 24k higher than he was 2 weeks before hitting excellent. I suppose I should have named this thread A minor rant rather than Somewhat interesting. I'll get over it, of course, and it's not something that's really getting to me. I'm not TP6, after all!
