It's a Presidential Battle Royale!

If all of these former Presidents or candidates for President from the two main parties were available today, who would you vote for?

Not a republican, but Dole has proved, post election, to be one of the coolest candidates ever with the various T.V. shows I have seen him on....

I predict a two-horse race between Clinton and Reagan. And that Ford, Mondale and Dukakis get shut out.

You think Carter will get a vote or two though?

Since you put Nixon up there, was there any reason you didn't put Humphrey and McGovern? Not that they would have gotten any votes, but still, to be fair, they should be there.

I think he is also likely to go without a vote, but the ones I mentioned seem like total locks to get shut out.

You can only have 12 slots, so I went with the most recent guys. Plus, I wanted 6 Republicans and 6 Democrats to balance things out.

Dola...

They weren't very good presidents or presidential candidates, but the three guys on the list that I have come to like the best as people and who I think have contributed the most following the end of their official political careers are Ford, Carter, and Dole.

I honestly think Kerry might be shut out too, and I am frankly shocked to see anybody chose Bush Jr. when Reagan was an option.

I think Carter is the best, most moral/honest person in the list. He just wasn't a great President.

I don't think anyone in the nation voted for Mondale when he ran.

Only in Minnesota.

At least we did the right thing and didn't elect him to the Senate a few years ago.

To those whose candidates were left out: There are only 12 slots. My procedure was simple. Pick candidates from the 2 main parties going back until I ran out of slots. If you want to vote for FDR, Ross Perot, John Anderson, or Gumby, make your own poll!

Much like in a real election, poor Gerry Ford can't win... Anyone ever thought about the fact that he didn't win an election on a presidential ticket ever? Talk about right place, right time

Boy, now everyone else knows what John Ashcroft felt like when he lost to a dead guy.

I'd vote for Carter as long as someone else picked his cabinet.

I only chose people who have actually been nominated by their party or who have been President. Sorry!

As for the Ashcroft thing, I think most folks are assuming they're voting for each candidate in the prime of their career, not based on whether or not they are currently alive.

Or maybe we would all rather have a dead president...

Dammit, I didn't think Billy Boy would get that many votes. Should have gone with Dukakis. My vote was purely to even the battle.
