Since I was bounced from the cup this week, I was off looking for teams for my Friendly Hippo Tour this season. I was jumping from team to team, looking for top div Oceania teams to challenge as part of my 6 continents in 6 weeks (or 5 in 5 if I don't get a good Oceania acceptance and they're the only "country" on that continent and I've already played there). And I stumbled across this press release that made me chuckle:

The HT Development team this week made some shocking revelations, not the least of which were:

a) Defense never has mattered. It's not even calculated by the game engine.

b) The Youth Sytem in HT was devised by Satan, in a 3-way deal involving Bjorn's soul and a Southern Black Guitar Player

c) There really are no developers of HT, they have been missing for several years. HT is just a matrix of remaining semi-sentient computer simulation programs creating random patterns for fun."

great press announcement

a) every defense trainer knows this. we just didnt want to say anything so you other people kept buying our players at outragious prices.

b) I thought that the youth system 3 way deal also involved Randy Johnson going to the Yankees?

c) the developers arent missing, like all developers they are just hiding out in a conference room using the company network to play quake, UT, etc
