I have the solution to problems in the Middle East.

Get the muslims to call a Jihad.

Get the christians to call a crusade.

Let them both cancel / wipe each other out.

Then the pagans and atheists i.e. (the intelligent free thinkers in life) can live in peace and harmony and have all the oil to ourselves.

Jason, I know I called a truce with you..

but..

Why don't you insult the Jewish faith, and make sure you get EVERYBODY mad at you?

Not cool.

I didn't insult any faith. I just simply used terms that are part of those individual religions that deal with punishing heathens and reclaiming the holy lands or holy wars....

Druez, it's a nice effort but your timing is off. It's a Friday afternoon in summer. People will be heading outside for the weekend. Not exactly prime time for this sort of thing.

Next time, try posting your wisdom around 10 a.m. on a Tuesday. A few well-timed bumps and you've got most of the week for everyone to get offended and fired up and start a big flamewar. You know, while you sit in front of your screen clicking "refresh" with a big smile and your hand down your pants.

Just some advice.

No, you just stated that if you were Catholic or Muslim, you were neither a free-thinker, nor intelligent.

Not catholic, christians in general. What I actually said though was the pagans and atheists are the intellegent and free thinkers in life. That isn't saying that muslims or christians aren't intellegent or free thinkers.

I believe there are many intelligent christians and muslims, but then they aren't free thinkers. I also believe there are many christians and muslims that are free thinkers, but aren't intelligent.

Ok here is the problem. If you are intellegent and still believe in christianity or muslismism you can't be a free thinker.

If you are a free thinker but believe in christianity or muslimism then obviously you can't be intelligent to believe that the crusades and jihad are good things that god would of wanted of his people.

Druez works here in my office (8 feet from me) and I have to put up with this bullshit all day long. Interestingly enough he thinks this shit is real:

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/05...rg_conference/

Guess thats what he means by free-thinker.

Edited spelling

No, but they have the ability to be both intelligent and free thinkers at the same time.

There are many atheists that are unintelligent and aren't free thinkers, but that isn't the point. The point is only atheists have the ability to be both at the same time.

Lets take my good friend Slapbone "we share an office at work" He is a devout christian. He is very intelligent but is not a free thinker. In his momments where he becomes a free thinker, his blind faith over-rides his intelligence.

How about bored on a friday at work. Desperate for attention on a message board? Naaa don't think so.... Its a message board where I kill time.

Hate-monger? Now that is funny..... When was the last time an atheist declared a jihad or a crusade on another religion?

Do you watch the news or keep up on current events? The terror cells in the area have called a Jihad against us. A general in our military basically called this a holy war. If you can't see that this is slowly turning into a holy war you are kidding yourselves......

I find it INCREDIBLE that people can't look at christianity over the last 2000 years and see all the wars fought in its name. The same can be said of the muslims or just about any other religion you can pick....

42 posts in an hour. If there is one thing we count on Druez for, it's post count.

In case no one has noticed, I am really trying to hijack this thread without subtracting from it comedic value. The first post by Maple Leaf is probably the funniest.

You were thinking what I was thinking. So if athesist have no beliefs, then how are they free thinkers if they only think they are the only thing in existence? So if attacking the Muslims and Christians, aren't you declaring a "holy war" on those faiths?

Hmm... I used to be an atheist, and it was my intelligent free-thinking that led me to the conclusion that there is indeed a God.

Learning to humble yourself before Him doesn't diminish your intelligence or free will at all.

Actually athesists do have beliefs. They just don't believe there is some god listening or sitting in judgement of us. Nor do they think a god commands us to goto war against all the infidels or do we believe that we need to reclaim a holy land.
