Arsenal A.C. - Fockers 3 - 2

View game: HT Live
Date: 8/2/2004 at 01.00
MatchID: 22532636
Arena: Highbury
Crowd: 43186

A scorching day at Highbury, where 43186 spectators were in place for today´s match. AAC had chosen a strategic 4-3-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Klossovsky - Meijers, Nilsson, Ingemarsson, Lemaire - Davidsson, Balodis Matesanz, Björkbeck - Maynard, Håkansson, Örn Þorsteinsson.

Fockers started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Driver - Nowak, Gnaegi, Läfvengård - Koek, Curval, Sánchez, Pereira, Snashall - Christensen, Askenfeldt.

AAC were relying on their ability to counter-attack. Fockers took the lead after 7 minutes with 0 - 1. Trevor Pereira placed the ball out of reach for the home sides keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. Fockerss Laurence Gnaegi got himself booked after a foul. Fockers increased the lead to 0 - 2 as Laurence Gnaegi scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner. AAC´s Michael Björkbeck got the home crowd going when he finished off a left wing charge putting the away teams lead down to 1 - 2. Laurence Gnaegi of Fockers got sent off for kicking the ball after the whistle, a completely uncalled for move, earning him his second yellow card of the game. AAC seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and were down to the solid level of organisation. A surprising free kick routine in the 38:th minute nearly resulted in another goal for the visitors, but the ball went just a little wide, leaving the strikers offside. After 40 minutes Robbie Maynard made a dash down the middle past the away teams defenders scoring 2 - 2. 2 - 2 was the half-time score. Fockers, bringing the final ball possession rate to 57 percent, dominated the battle.

AAC -coach had an extra briefing during the break, and after that his players had solid organisation. Fockers had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially in the 57:th minute when Nils Askenfeldt came up alone against Afanasiy Klossovsky who managed a block. The referee showed AACs Lars Håkansson the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Dawid Nowak the unlucky victim, couldn´t continue the game, so Dick Oerlemans had to come off the bench. Jasone Balodis Matesanz toiled away as usual, but the heat made him exhausted and he looked kind of pale at the end of the game. The visitors were very close to gaining the lead from a monstrous free kick in the 70:th minute, but Afanasiy Klossovsky made a one hand save. 70 minutes into the game Elias Läfvengård had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came Bernd Reisch. In the 70:th minute an unfortunate play by Afanasiy Klossovsky gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but Alberto Sánchez, finding himself alone with the keeper, was unable to take advantage of the situation. Lino Curval of Fockers received a yellow card in the 75:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. AAC appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only solid. AAC took the lead in the 85:th minute of the game by 3 to 2, as Lars Håkansson elegantly received a pass going deep, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. AAC appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only solid. Fockers held the ball, with a clear 58 percent possession rate.

The most dominating AAC player was without a doubt Robbie Maynard. Quinten Meijers was a disappointment, however. Most important Fockers player was Russell Driver. Bernd Reisch was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 2.

(all 3 of my defenders were either injured or thrown outta the game and yay once again a team I should beat and place higher than will beat me)

In the 25:th minute Kenny Nilsson almost put the home team one ahead on a cross pass coming in from the right, but the shot went wide. The teams went for a half-time break at 1 - 1. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the fortyfive minutes.

66 minutes into the game a free kick combination hooked into the box almost resulted in the home team taking the lead, but the last header went wide. In the games 74:th minute Fockers´s Hans Herbert Müller fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked Hans Herbert Müller for taking a dive. Fockers´s Hans Herbert Müller left the field after 81 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was Donny Haskins. AAC took the lead in the 87:th minute of the game by 2 to 1, as Baltasar Lopez Leite elegantly received a pass going deep, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. AAC´s best player was Robbie Maynard. Baltasar Lopez Leite was a disappointment, however. Fockers´s best player was Hugo Christensen. Donny Haskins on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 1.

(this one I only lost my 5.5* midfielder and lost the game that way)

EVillIVE - Fockers 3 - 1

View game: HT Live
Date: 1/5/2004 at 01.00
MatchID: 11026994
Arena: Deadly Grave
Crowd: 33052

33052 spectators had come to Deadly Grave this cloudy day. EVillIVE tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Robertsson - Spørring, Coon, Rennemo - Richardsson, van der Molen, Emilsson, Chestnut, Bãdoiu - Roeterdink, Tungbratt.

Fockers tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. They fielded: Paulusz - Läfvengård, Oerlemans, Gnaegi - Snashall, Leone, Lindhell, Müller, Kaplan - Bulygin, Lago Álvarez.

Roberto Leone of Fockers received a yellow card in the 6:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Some quick foot work on the left side of the field in the 8:th minute left Fockers´s Elias Läfvengård completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. Fockers came close to extending their lead as Héctor Lago Álvarez delivered a long range shot from the right but the angle was too sharp, and the shot hit the side of the goal. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Fockers, bringing the final ball possession rate to 52 percent, dominated the battle.

In the 66:th minute Fockerss Yefim Bulygin received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. 69 minutes into the game Roberto Leone had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came Glenn Ash. Raymond Roeterdink put his head to a well placed ball lifted in from the left and scored the 1 - 1 goal in the 69:th minute. In the 72nd minute cheers broke out as Raymond Roeterdink found his way through the guests central defense line, clipping the 2 - 1 goal in for EVillIVE. In the 72nd minute EVillIVE put themselves up 3 - 1. The visitors defenders lost the ball to Eigil Rennemo coming up from the left, who proceeded to cooly round the goaltender and knock the ball home. A couple of quick and successful challenges, followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area after 79 minutes might have resulted in another goal for EVillIVE. However, Domonkos Paulusz made a spectacular save. When Yefim Bulygin made yet another studs first tackle, in the games 88th minute, the referee was obliged to book the Fockers player for the second time, sending him off the pitch. EVillIVE held the ball, with a clear 54 percent possession rate.

The most dominating EVillIVE player was without a doubt Bo Robertsson. Stephen Coon was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Fockers player was without a doubt Elias Läfvengård. However, Glenn Ash made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 1.

(this one I shoulda won easily with my PIC... but I get hammered instead.. and oh.. damn now I can't MOTS against the best team in the division the next week because my 5* middie is out for 5 weeks and my striker has a red card.. )

My worst "upset" to happen to me was last season. I held 83% possession in the second half, yet I tied 2-2. The guy didnt press or anything, just really bad luck for me both offensively and defensively. We both had 1 special event goal and 1 regular goal. This match kept me from autopromoting to div iv last season by keeping me below the autopromotion line. I tied the line, but my goal differential was like 6 points off.
