Has FOF Central ever been empty?

I have been up at 3:00 AM reading the board at times and it seems like there is ALWAYS someone else here checking things out. Have any of you ever been on the board when there was no one else here? I know that there arepeople here from all across the world and that with time zone changes it may be the middle of the day in France, but still, you would think that that things would slow down some time. I think the fewest I have ever seen on here is five others and that was at around 3:30 Central time.

I am usually only able to get on from 12:00-5:00 am, so I help keep someone around in the wee hours. I do remember back before fof4 came out there was a morning where I was the only one on though.

I will agree with this, a couple years ago you could find yourself on the board alone, iknow i ahve had it happen but it has been a very long time, now i don't think its possible.......

I work midnights and I only have dialup at home, so this is pretty much the only time I'm on.

If you are here than it is not empty. If it has ever been empty, no one would know.

There were a few times at the old board that I was the only person there. It always happened between around 4:00am-7:00am Eastern Time on Saturday mornings. That is still our least-busy time slot.

Another thing to consider in this discussion is that the new board software keeps people on the Online list for a while after they leave. I think they stay listed for 15 minutes. I'm pretty sure that was not the case with the old board.

My guess is to keep people that our browsing logged in for 15 minutes. I know I've spent a few minutes + reading one particular thread. If it logged me off the active users page after 1 minute, I could still be using the forums, but not seen on the users list.

Also keep in mind that are quite a few europeans on the board.
Assuming you're on the east coast, 3:00 AM for you is 9:00 AM for us, which is just another day at the office...ie browsing FOFC!!!

I also leave my computer and internet browser on a lot overnight. So it may say panerd is online when in fact I am just too lazy to x out of the sites I was visiting. I don't know if this is the case for anyone else. (This is also true during the day. I will just open up 4-5 windows of places I like to visit and not bother reclosing them until the end of the day)

I can remember being alone at FOFC a few years ago.
The past months, when I are on line at the time that usually happened, at least 10, up to 20 names are listed as online.
