Odd file on my machine
So, I have this file that's running, called rrlx.exe . I haven't found a SINGLE THING on a Google search.
It's listed in my Windows/System32 folder. Can anyone verify for me that this is part of your XP experience? I had a couple of odd files lately (eets.exe, rrlx.exe, and one other)...and the eets.exe was screwing up my machine a bit. The rrlx.exe appears to be a part of it, although I'm not quite sure. -John |

Have you scan it to see if it is a virus?

There are a couple of spyware programs that create randomly generated computer filenames to prevent detection. This sounds like one of those files. Better SpyBot that bitch.

I have run a virus on it, and have AdAwared it. I will SpyBot though, just to make sure.

Make SURE you have the latest version of SpyBot. I had 1.2 and it kept saying that I had all the updates and I was clean.
Got 1.3 and there were 3,000 more things to check. I ended up with it finding 88 more spyware programs on my machine. |

What Blackadar says is very true. You may also try to use HijackThis to see if there are any weird entrie concernies browser helpers and stuff like that. I had on hijacker a couple weeks ago that kept pushing me popup ads that were going through the google bar popup blocker. Turned out I found an entry I didn't recognize with hijackthis, fixed it and the problem is now gone... FM

Tried that. The new wrap and seal from Glad is MUCH better, though.
