So... Lytic got me thinking - how does FOFC feel about excellent coaches?

I think I asked about this and was told that you gain a week every two levels. If that is true I believe an excellent coach would help winger and keeper trainers more than anyone else.
I have a player who I will convert at the beginning of next season. I have the money to make him excellent, I just dont think its worth it while training scoring. (Of course I am still in DV... Who am I to talk about an excellent coach?) |

I'm thinking of making a current player into an excellent coach a few seasons down the road. He currently has solid experience but it only 27 years old. I've got a while to think about it.

As a PM trainer, gaining 1 week of training every 2 levels is roughly the same as saving 1 week of training per season (assuming an average of 8 weeks per level).
Also assuming, an increase in level nets you 1M per trainee, knowing you train 6 at 100% and 4 at 50% (equivalent of 8 at 100%), a trainee weekly value increase is equivalent to 125k (1M/8 trainee) or 1M for the whole trainee group. So, this will mean I could theorically get 1 extra million per season. Solid trainer cost : 650k Excellent trainer cost (mine has excellent XP) : 4.6M => requires 4 year to see money back Lytic's excellent trainer (with high XP) : 3.6M => still requires 3 years to see money back So this means that to "gain" your 4M back you need 4 seasons..... Seeing how Hattrick changes sometimes quickly (and seeing the market prices going down), my recommendation is Stick with Solid coach ! My excellent trainer was a million less than that. Of course I could have waited for higher exp, but I have players trying to make the U20 squad.

personally, i can never imagine paying 3-4 million for an excellent coach. dont get me wrong, im happy for lytic and if it were cheaper i would get one. but i personally would rather put the money into better trainees or something.
