Keep doctors around or no?
Finally I'm almost back to no injuries. I had horrible luck and like 4 people injured at one point, but by next week I should be good to go. Do you guys keep doctors on staff just in case? I have hired, fired, and hired again so many times. Is this pointless? Should I just keep 2 on staff? What do you all do...
I train at %100 with 8 Physios but I get at least one injury every other game about. Yes I know crappy form and what not can effect this but I cannot change all that right now. Just trying to see if I might as well leave 'em on the payroll. Thanks!

I have been told repeatedly by others not to keep doctors on staff, but if you are having that kinda luck with injuries...maybe you should keep them on. It would keep you from having to pay them exit salary and then rehiring them, that's for sure...

during my cup run, i kept 1 on staff the whole time. and then just picked up extras depending on injuries. but i just fired them all today. i plan on keeping 0 on staff while not in the cup.

I tend to keep 10 on staff at all times. I've been doing this for 3 seasons now. Strangely enough, in that time period, I've had a total of 1 game in which I've had no injuries for my crack medical staff to attend to.
I'd say, if you can afford the $15,000 it might be a good idea depending on your luck. If you are a newer team, I'd only hire what I needed when I needed it. That $15,000 goes a little further for newer players. |

Yeah, I'm still new. Started middle of last season. Heh, don't have $15,000 lying around for doctors. I can barely afford the 8 Physios, 10 Spokesmen, and 10 total coaches.

I lose a godo amount of money every time I go up to 10 docs. I can't imagine keeping them on staff all the time, especially with 8 psychs as well.

In my first 2 seasons everytime I fired doctors I got an injury the very next match. Since then I have just bitten the bullet and kept 10 doctors on at all times.

I'm holding 10 docs (gotta think about chopping it to 5 as I haven't had a key player down for a while, knock on wood) and 4 physios. But I'm in IV and even as I fight the horribly unrealistic expectations of my supporters, I'm still making a biweekly profit.

I fire them whenever I can and even (re)hire less then 10 when I think I can get away with it.
Basically, cost of firing before econ update & rehiring then after econ update = cost of keeping them. If you have some badasses and aren't going to be around near your matches I can see having 10 not being a bad idea. |

I'm at the same place as RH. I have 10 on staff since I've been having some injury problems of late (y'know, one heal and new one goes boom). When the injuries goes to nil for more than a week, I usually try to trim it down to 3. Otherwise, I just keep it at 10.

raven hawk, you have 10 psio's and you still get an injury a week?!?!
that is some horrible luck. i have 10 psio's and i get maybe a +1 injury every few weeks. even with training at 100%.
