Awesome concert on DVD

Heart is one of my top 3 favorite groups of all time and Ann Wilson is definitely my #1 favorite rock vocalist (and sister Nancy is up there as far as guitarist). I just picked up the The Road Home DVD and it is simply awesome, one of the very best concerts on DVD or CD that I have ever listened to.

The 1995 concert was set at the intimate Moore Theatre in Seattle and along with some members of the Seattle Symphony, they performed acoustic arrangements of a number of songs, older and newer. These include Alone, Dreamboat Annie, Dream of the Archer, Mistral Wind and Crazy on You, as well as 12 others. As a bonus, they also included their performances of The Road Home on the Kinnear show and that great performance of Crazy on You on Leno (check out the incredible opening).

Also, if you are fan of the Wilson sisters, I would also recommend their side project as the Lovemongers and the CD "Whirlygig". It is one of my favorite CDs of all time.

interesting.
I like Heart, but I've never considered them a band someone would put as one of their favorites. Ann's got a great voice, and Nancy is a pretty good guitarist (not to mention the owner of a nice rack), but I've never really been that wowed by their songs - a few pretty good ones (Alone, Crazy on You) and lots of mediocre stuff. IMO of course.

The new album is surprisingly good. Substance-wise, a return to 70's form, as opposed to the pop-schlock of the 80's.

I believe on the VH1 Behind the Music, she lost a lot of weight...I think she had the stomach staple or something.
