I need a damn pop up blocker and I don't want to spend money. Can anybody lead me in the right direction!? Thanks.

Install Windows XP Service Pack 2. It has a popup blocker built into IE6.
You could also try Mozilla Firefox. |

This is the 266mb monster network install file. You woukld be better waiting for it to be released on Windows Update shortly as that download should be between 75-100mb. |

the Google Toolbar (http://toolbar.google.com/ ) also works well. I'm mostly using Firefox now, but I keep the Google Toolbar on IE for when I use that. Since I installed it at work, it's blocked 6,545 popups.

I don't recommend the Google Toolbar. It has been blocking less and less recently. I've been looking for something else, but have yet to find what I'm looking for.

Firefox or Google toolbar.
Haven't used SP2 enough yet to recommend it. |

a natural ying & yang with any popular blockers - the spammers find new ways to circumvent, then the blockers find ways to block them. so yeah, you will see this from time to time, with any blocker (there was a real annoying one at Snopes for a while).
