A little research "smart guns"?

I am completeing my masters of science in management of information security (MIS/INFOSEC) and am doing a research paper for an information systems ethics course about RFID tags. If anyone is wondering Radio frequency identification (RFID) is a method of remotely storing and retrieving data using devices called RFID tags. An RFID tag is a small object, such as an adhesive sticker, that can be attached to or incorporated into a product. RFID tags contain antennas to enable them to receive and respond to radio-frequency queries from an RFID transceiver. So, anyways I came across this material on smartguns. I had never heard about this before and am curious what others think about this technology and the implicationsof it on the gun issue. I am a little scared half-knowing this discourse will probably become digenerate into a free for all between gun advocates and anti-gunners, but what the hell.

Sorry about derailing right from the beginning since I don't know much about smart guns, but if you need any info about RFID for your paper, PM me. I'm managing an RFID initiative for UPS, so I can send you some samples if you'd like. I'm still in learning mode myself, so depending on how much research you've done I may not be able to tell you something you don't already know, but I could try.

Thanks

VPI ,
Thanks for the offer but actually I have finished the research and already submitted my work. I posted here just to see what people thought more for my own edification.
