International Basketball

I wanted to get everyone's opinion. I have enjoyed watching the olympic basketball. Aside from the fact that US is not doing well, I think it is an interesteing game. The international rules make shooting a must. In my opinion, it is much more entertaining than the NBA game. Much more team oriented and less standing around wating for an isolation. I think the NBA would be better with international rules. Put the jumper back into the game of basketball. The NBA looks more like streetball and the European game looks more like basketball should and used to be played (circa 1980's). What do you guys think?

I agree. NBA is just mass marketed corporate entertainment masturbation.

totally agree. Team sports will always be more entertaining. (ex. football, hockey, baseball)

International basketball is just the other extreme. While NBA scorers are mostly slashers and routinely drive the lane, international basketball is just about who can hit the most outside shots. Neither style by itself is all the great, they both could use more of the other.

Agreed. A good mix of both would be the most exciting IMO. I think the 80s had the perfect mix of slashing and shooting. I loved watching basketball in the 80s, now I can't stand it.

I definitely agree with VPI. A good mix would be great.

International basketball is fairly boring. I really can't wait until the Timberwolves take the floor again.
