I really haven't caught the MLS bug yet. I'm thinking next season I might catch a couple of games. However, if I were a fan, I would be rooting for the Fire. ![]() |

I was when I lived in Chicago. The Barn-Burners are a fun crowd to chant and sing with, although I didn't like the set-up as much in the new Soldier Field vs. the unrenovated version. And welcome to Hey You. I'm not Israeli, but I can say a few words in Hebrew...but they wouldn't be very welcoming. ![]() |

I've got to agree and disagree with the Soldier Field comment. It is not a very pleasant site from the outside... However, that place inside is phenomenal. I got to see the very boring ManU-Bayern Munich game a month ago there and the facility inside is great. And welcome to Hey You! Shalom. ![]() |

Yes, outside Soldier Field isnt the greatest to look but inside is just simply great. The funny thing is that on T.V. is looks huge, but when you get inside the stadium it doesnt look that big. And I was at the ManU vs Bayern game and wow that was bad, I think the whole crowd got totally pissed when Bellion (i think it was him) made that poor excuse for a pass to Smith around the 88th minute when it was 2 on 1. Im glad I only paid $40 for the ticket. And yes we Barnburners and Fire Ultras are a great bunch of fans. That is why us section 8 fans helped Chicago get the fan friendly award from MLS last year! CHI-CA-GO FIRE! Last edited by Cousintroy : 09-01-2004 at 08:58 AM. |

Yeah... it was fairly amusing catching the replay on FSW a couple of weeks later... the 80-90 minutes: Crowd booing both sides lustily, etc.. 90th minute ending in a 0-0 score... crowd result: LOTS of booing... then the announcement of a shoot out and voila: Crowd happy. The commentator: The crowd very unhappy with xxx.. Oh, now they are happy again. |

Acutally where I was sitting the whole section wasnt even happy with the shootout. It was wierd after the final wistle the players starting walking off, couple traded jerseys, then all of the sudden the announcers says that a penalty shots will be taken and our whole section started griping.
