I was switching between the Sox and Yankees...good times. Manny homers, Yanks give up 6. Manny homers again, Yanks give up 4...and then another 12!

Wow, that was just an awesome game. There is nothing better than seeing the Yanks get their butts whipped, but man, 22-0 is just ridiculous. The Sox are only 3.5 back, the Yanks better watch out.

I think the Indians manager should be fined for running up the score like that. Come on, going for 2 to make it 22-0 instead of just kicking the PAT for 21, there is no place in sports for that.

This is yet another sign that the Tribe are on the road back, men.

Normally I'd reply with some snide comment, or some quote from the "Major League" movies.. but since you're doing it to the Yankees...

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

This is purely anecdotal evidence, but everytime I turn around, it seems that the Indians are either spanking someone by scoring 13 or 14+ runs a game, or getting spanked in the same manner. Am I just imagining things, or blowing a couple of games out of proportion, or what? If true, that's got to be an unusual. Sounds like a job for Jayson "I've got nothing better to do than write about stupid shit" Stark to investigate.

The Indians offense ranks among the best in the Majors. The Indians pitching staff ranks among the worst in the Majors. Hence the blowouts. The bullpen was atrocious in the first half but has improved a bit of late with Wickman's return, but it remains the Achillies Heel of this team. The good news? We already know this team can score runs and we have identified the most glaring weakness and can improve for future seasons.

Just a few observations by an admittedly biased Indians fan:

1) The Indians offense is one of the best in the Majors. The Indians are second in the Majors in runs, hits, doubles, total bases and RBI and third in OBP and team batting average (.281).

2) The Indians farm system was ranked #1 two years running by Baseball America. While this does not insure future success, a plethora of successful prospects should mean an improved chance to win. Mark Shapiro's Indians will be a product, good or bad, of that farm system, so the fact that BA named it #1 two years running is significant for us Tribe fans.

The most glaring weaknesses on this Indians team are 1) the bullpen and 2) the team's overall youth and inexperience in pressure situations. Those acknowledged weaknesses aside, I fail to see these facts could signify anything but an Indians reemergence to the top of the American League.

Obviously I'm a biased Tribe fan, I'm just trying to defend my original statement. I'm sorry if sounds condescending, that wasn't my intent.
