Quick CM 03/04 question re: National teams

Dumb quickie question for CM 03/04 veterans:

Is there negative impact on your "regular" job (i.e. your league team) if you accept an offer to coach a national team somewhere?

I seem to recall your regular employer getting upset about your divided attention in a previous edition, I'm wondering if that's true in CM 03/04?

{Hoping that they just don't notice ... regardless of whether that's realistic }

No you'll be fine if you actually accept a job - if you apply for one then your current club can get narked but if directly offered a national job without touting for it you'll be fine ...

PS. If you're doing well then you'll ride out any 'narkedness' involved in applying for a national job in most cases ....

Thanks to both Marc & 'nudo for the replies.

After seeing the 2010 World Cup results, I suspect there's going to be quite a few jobs opening up soon and, well ... you just never know who'll come knocking (or be desperate).

Not AFAIK -- I ordered from gogamer.com & have had good experiences with them on several occasions FWIW.

I think that might be a "YMMV" question.
I went with CM 03/04 without hesitation, based upon my impression of the stability & performance of the two options. But I suspect others will come along at some point with a different answer.

I think there may have been a thread about the differences in the two versions at some point, might be worth searching out.

Entirely up to personal choice really, CM4 came out in 2002 while CM03-04 is the latest version available.

They're both good games in my rather obviously biased opinion .... CM03-04 has a more mature engine and some new features which aren't present in CM4 (on the other hand 'cos its an older game CM4 is often cheaper than CM03-04).

If in doubt download the demos and see if that helps make up your mind ...

If a handful of dollars isn't an issue, but you don't want to wait for FM2005, I would highly recommend CM03/04 over CM4. There were issues with CM4 that essentially made it unplayable for me, but CM03/04, other than a few minor quirks here and there, is a very solid and stable product.

I have always felt CM4 was sorta like an unannounced public beta, whiel CM03/04 was the finished product of that particular line.

I enjoyed CM4, but there's nothing to recommend it over CM 03/04 which is a much more polished game.
