EHM Q: National Teams

How long do Gms normally last for a National team, and how do you deem yourself qualified enough to get the job?

Anyone here have any experience at the helm of one yet?

I've had this question too. Will I ever get the chance to apply for a national team or will I be approached? Even though my nationality is Canadian, could I apply to coach another nation's team?

Hopefully someone who is farther along may have some answers.

"How long do they last"
Depends how good they are really

"Deem yourself qualified"
As with most jobs - you're qualified when you get it, a lot depends on the stature of the nation involved obviously ... for a major nation you'll need to be a 'face', for a more minor one if you're a professional coach you're probably in with a chance ...

"will I be approached"
It is possible - if you really want a job though its best to pre-empt things and send in a CV (ie. apply).
