We Need A Football Drafter...Now!

Yahoo is about to start our live drafgt and some dumbass dropped his team to leave us at odd teams.

We need a new team now (as in right now!). If you can, go join up at...

league id: 557124
password: rwbl

It's Yahoo. Free.

Never mind. I think it's too late now.

How crappy is this? Some guy drops his team in the hours leading up to our draft? What kind of a jerk off would do this? And two days before the season starts?

Yahoo won't let you draft with an odd number of teams. This is a historical dipshit move, IMO.

I'm in, but I can't join the draft.

Don't worry, the draft ain't going. We missed our time.

We'll need to set up another time, or maybe go autopick (we might have to go autopick, and even then I don't know if there's time).

Thanks for joining. Most of the guys in this are FOFC members, but we joined as members of the RWBL.

Thanks, Troll. Don't worry, we set the max at 10, so henry beat ya to it.

If you go Autopick that is ok for me. Today I did rankings for another Auto-pick league. That league hasn't had our Auto-pick run, so I think there is time.

You'd think you'd just set your team on auto-draft rather than pull out and ruin it for everyone. The guy probably didn't realize he was scrapping the whole draft by pulling out -- I don't think Yahoo makes that very clear.

I'm sure it wasn't intentional, Sean, but darn heck it was very negligent. I didn't pay close enough attention to see who it was, although I have a pretty good suspicion.

I would have thought that the last time we were held up by odd teams was clue enough that we needed an even number of teams, although you're probably right that Yahoo doesn't blare that information out in bright, flashing red text enough.

I think whoever it was should be stripped of all of their RWBL World Series as punishment.

If it's who I think it is, that would be an empty punishment. But maybe you have someone else in mind.

henry I will keep you posted here about what's going on there. I would figure it's going to be an utodraft (it has to be now, I think).

Man, that is REALLY prickish! In all the leagues I've had, I have had to replace players in the middle of a draft for non-action or just because, but for a livedraft... that's horrible!

Well, Just to quickly explain, I thought I had a replacement lined up that was more interested than I was, so i quit so that they could join. Apparently they didnt join, or it was too close to draft time. And I did it about 2 hours before the draft. If that was too soon i apologize. I was under the impression that the person who was signing up would be doing it rather quickly, and i even asked if they were sure they were gonna go sign up. I wasnt trying to fuck up anything, just to give someone a chance who had voiced the opinion that they wanted to join.
