queston on trainees

heres the deal: i want to buy a new trainee before the start of the new season because my current training program is very lackluster. i have around 160k in the bank and am looking to buy a trainee before the seasons ends because i wont be able to afford even 17 yo passables in week 1. so im torn between buying a 17 yo solid for around 120k or buying an 18 yo excellent for around 200k. assuming they both have the same secondaries, which would be better? i was leaning toward the excellent, any thoughts on this? thanks in advance.

The 17 year old solid is a better option, assuming you are looking for better return rather than quicker return. You *should* be able to reasonably expect roughly 2 pops per season which would put him higher than that 18 year. Unless, of course, it's an extremely high excellent then you should be happy.
