OT: Crowd wills team to Victory

It was Uconn and the home field advantage 22, Duke 20. I've never witnessed a crowd lift a team to victory like I did today. It was Duke 20-6 with 12 minutes left.

That's a game I would have loved to see. Must have been a helluva game.

2-0 but damn nerve-wracking to listen too on the radio. Hopefully UConn finally dusts off it's A game for Friday's Big East debut.

Who'da thunk that with injuries to Caulley, Young, and Je. Williams, that an injury to Freshmen kicker Tony Ciaravino might be the most costly?

It's amazing that they have usually had a decent kicker in the recent history: Moon, Hickok, DeArmas. The school can win national championships in Soccer. Bring them up to 85 scholarships and the kicking game is so awful that you are shocked when they make one.

They are 15-3 in their last 18 and the kicking game cost them 2 of the 3 losses (BC and NC State), only the Va Tech game where the team went in the tank when Caulley got hurt was a loss that can't be blamed on kicking.

The bad thing about going to school so far away from home is that I missed Rentschler Field by about 2 years. I would've loved to go to UConn football and the USA Women's and Liverpool/Celtic soccer matches. I don't doubt for one second that we know how to rock the place, I just wish I could experience it!
