Rutgers - New Hampshire

Hey, why not give it its own thread? It's the thing to do today, right?

Rutgers is leading New Hampshire 24-14. Ray Lucas is the color man on the radio broadcast, which is kind of depressing me. They're intereviewing Marco Battaglia at half-time as well, it's also depressing me.

Hopefully they can both sneak back into the NFL later this year.

I'd rather have Ray Lucas back than either of the Dolphins current QB's.

This is classic Rutgers - playing down to the level of the opponent. They're winning right now, but they're one play away from tanking the game.

LOLOLOL!

Don't want to say I told you so, I'll be polite .

Face it guys, we won't be competitive in the near future unless we go back to the 1-AA.

At least this'll give more ammo to Rutgers-1000 .

I guess you didn't hear the news down there in Georgia, but RU 1000 is dead. Good riddance too.

God damnit! I was a big supporter too . I guess it is too much to hope for for some money to go to academics. Not like classroom buildings on Voorhees Mall weren't falling apart at the seams .

What happened, did the Prof in charge die or something?

Edit: Nevermind. I found out that they thought McCormick was sympathetic to them and voted to dissolve in 2002 .

Eh... you'll get used to it, me and almost every other Rutgers alum have . Look at it this way, a lot of people think Rutgers is some sort of super-duper smart school because our football team sucks (and I'm NOT kidding).

I put this in another thread. But I do not think people realize how good New Hampshire is. Beating Deleware is huge, and now Rutgers. This is a scary good I-AA team.

I do not look forward to W&M's weak defense facing this year's New Hampshire squad.

They better win the D-1AA championship.

The least that defense could have done was to hold the lead against Carolina last week. Then again, all us UNC haters like having John Bunting to kick around, so maybe it was a good thing.

The A-10 in general has some nice teams this year. Villanova, Delaware (who have been disappointing), UMass and UNH (somehow only ranked #10, 4 spots below Delaware) are all ranked in the Top 10, with Maine and Northeastern also top 18. Last couple years, Villanova beat Temple, Delaware beat Navy and now UNH beat Rutgers. Also yesterday, Northeastern only lost by 4 at Navy. So far all these teams are D-1A bottom feeders, but UMass could change that at BC in less than a month. Or Maine at Mississippi State this saturday.

Incidentally, my senior year of HS we played Bellingham, led by Santos, in the first game. We ended up losing 29-27 because he was unstoppable on the ground running the option. He didn't throw much that game, but that was probably due to poor receivers.

Northeastern has beaten Ohio and UConn recently as well. Last season, they were the only team to beat Delaware.
