Probability Football Week #1 Results

http://probabilityfootball.com/group...groupname=FOFC

Congrats to Mauboy for having the best FOFC score of the week, and the 37th best score overall! Kevinnu7 and FrogMan also put up great scores are are in the top 100 overall.

We had 32 people participate this week, lets keep that up next week!

Of the 32, only 7 had negative scores, not bad.

mauboy picked 13 of the 16 games correctly, including 2 dangerous 100% picks(St Louis over Arizona and Minnesota over Dallas). His only signifigant loss was an 85/15 pick of Baltimore over cleveland.

kevinnu7 went with a lot of 80-85% picks and got them all right. He did miss 5 games total but only a 75% pick of Oakland over Pittsburgh hurt him badly. If Oakland could have finished off their comeback he would have won the group this week.

On the other end of the spectrum...

Laser went with the 100% strategy, picking every game all or nothing. Of course, 3 right answers vs 1 wrong answer is a wash at 100%, he picked 10 of 15 games right(didn't get the Indy game in), for a -500 score.

bbor had a rough week, it seemed all his sure picks went wrong. 95% on Houston over San Diego, ouch, 85% on chicago over Detroit, and 80% on Baltimore over Cleveland.

On a personal note, I'm an uninspired 17th after not making any ballsy picks at all this week, I might have to be a little more agressive in the future. I got hurt bad by losing Sunday night and Monday's games, both 65/35.

Welp.. I'm at 21...

My 1 100% (St. Louis over Arizona) panned out, but I was hurt by 3 70%'s that did not pan out (Baltimore, Cincinnati, and Houston)

wow, bbor redeemed part of his bad week with a gutsy 80% call on GB over Carolina...

I fully expect to drop back to the middle of the pack very soon, don't you all worry about me

2 or 3 years ago, I did finish 3rd overall in one given month, don't remember when though, but they made sure to write that I was not allowed to win a money prize

After one week, the defending champ* sits 12th. That's just fine. This contest is like the Tour de France... winning one stage means nothing, it's all about the long haul.

*Me, you idiots

Bump, don't forget to submit your picks for week 2, I'm hoping that by posting the results here and keeping a little discussion going, the interest will remain high, last year it really dwindled.

Make your week 2 picks!

Has anyone ever seen us in a room together?
