Any way to make this a season long contest for points and also have the elimination part as a bonus?

aye- that way you have a survivor winner, and an overall spread winner . Its possible the two would be the same- but not certain.

It was a nice run. Well, no it wasn't. Then again, at this rate, we can probably start a second one at midseason.

Maybe I'm reading the rules wrong, but I don't see anything about someone being eliminated by not submitting an entry. The rules specifically say that you are eliminated if your low outscores your high. If you don't submit a low or high, that doesn't happen.

This means the contest should be open to new players at any time. We just have the handicap of not scoring the first few weeks. Besides, the odds of anyone surviving 17 weeks is slim. Then the highest score could win.

The rules also say nothing about picking a team on a bye week as the low...

That said, I think it was pretty clear this is an elimination game, TLK explained that in the initial thread (if I recall correctly).

This doesn't make sense me. Me sitting at 23 points...this means I could never send in another entry, duck everybody and probably win.

I say, if you forget to send in an entry, you are out.

That Colts as a high was a pretty sweet pick

Jacksonville, even though they won, were not so hot, a good week for me, at least better than my average of 0.5 point per week so far

Indy/Arizona would've nearly put it away already. Luckily no one picked that.

Indy/SF would have been even better, heck taking Seattle/SF would have been pretty good too

Taking Indy/SD makes up for scoring a total of 4 points in the first two weeks pretty well.
