Enigma Puzzle #19

We've had poetry puzzles, sports puzzles, trivia puzzles... Time for a good old-fashioned math puzzle. Or not?

Find the next two in the series...

AM, EGG, JIG, LEI, PEG, PIG, ____, ____

gottimd - perhaps you have signatures turned off? If so, you might want to take a look at the one belonging to enigma -- it explains hiw this game is played. (Just click his name - you'll go to the profile, which includes the sig)

Hmmm...a math puzzle with letters. Must be that new math. I thought math had numbers. You know, 2+2=5, 3X3=12.

I understand that, I was looking at the last one and people were guessing on the board, so I figured what the hell. Am I not supposed to do that? I see if I know the answer to log in as enigma with the answer.

ohhhh, thanks I have sigs off and was unaware of the rules as well, since I didn't pay attention to the first 16 or so of these.

If you use the letters of the alphabet (A = 1, B = 2, etc.), each of the words creates a prime number:

AM = (1)(13) = 113
EGG = (5)(7)(7) = 577
JIG = (10)(9)(7) = 1097
LEI = (12)(5)(9) = 1259
PEG = (16)(5)(7) = 1657
PIG = (16)(9)(7) = 1697

These primes are (obviously) ranked in ascending order. I checked a list of primes, and the occuring numbers within that list are as follows:

AM = (1)(13) = 113 = 30th
EGG = (5)(7)(7) = 577 = 106th
JIG = (10)(9)(7) = 1097 = 184th
LEI = (12)(5)(9) = 1259 = 205th
PEG = (16)(5)(7) = 1657 = 260th
PIG = (16)(9)(7) = 1697 = 265th

But that's as far as I can get for now...

Combining the two thoughts, perhaps we are looking for the next two prime numbers that can be formed formed (according to the code above) from English words?

By process of elimination (using only letters that end with 1, 3, 7 or 9), we know that the final letter of the word must be A, C, G, I, K, M, Q, S, U or W. From there, we can eliminate Q (or 17) and probably K (11).

But then what about the use of the letters P, L, J. Their numbers within this theory constitute non-prime numbers. (16,12 10)

I'm not sure if I'm barking up the wrong tree...

SEA would seem to work (19)(5)(1) = 1951
SAC would seem to work as well (19)(1)(3) = 1913 which would also be AIM (1)(9)(13)
And SIC (19)(9)(3) = 1993

I had tried both "sacsea" and "sacaim" with no luck. I'm now digging backward, to see if I missed something.

And now I'm out of login attempts.

I was thinking that the 113 would equal like 1+1+3 which equals 5, so 5 starts out the second word, which is E. Then 5+7+7 = 19 so a 10 and 9 would start out the third word, but then I was shamzammied after that.

The enigma has been solved.

The next two words were AIM and SEA and the password was aimsea. The code and concept are as explained above.
