Team Captain
Question..
I read on hattrix files that you should select the player for team captain that has the best combination total of leadership and experience. I'm still pretty new to Hattrick, so I don't have any player that is an obvious team captain, but let me explain my confusion. I have 5 players that are around the same thing, and I'm trying to figure out which one is best. I'm planning on treading water in my division next year, not a lot of new players, so I won't have any changes soon. FYI I did this scale in numbers to make it easier. Disastrous would = 0, wretched = 1, poor = 2, etc... players: #1 has 1 exp, 4 lead #2 has 0 exp, 5 lead #3 has 3 exp, 2 lead #4 has 3 exp, 3 lead So my confusion is this: for team captain, is experience and leadership both equally important? Because if they are, I would assume my player #4 would be best because he has a total score of 6. If Leadership is more important, then maybe player #1 would be best because even though his total score is 5, he still has 4 in Leadership. Or is Leadership all that really matters, which would make #2 the best because he has the highest in Leadership? I know I'm low level and it won't matter a lot either way for me, but this is something I'd like clarified for later as well, and maybe others were wondering too. Sure it won't impact me know, but at least when I know, I won't have to ask when it DOES really matter ![]()

I have heard that experience is twice as important as leadership when selecting a team captain. so with that in mind...
player 1: (1*2)+(4*1)= 6 player 2: (0*2)+(5*1)= 5 player 3: (3*2)+(2*1)= 8 player 4: (3*2)+(3*1)= 9 So looks like you should probably go with player 4 right now ![]()

Sweet. I had not heard that, so this is very good info. Hattrix files has so much info, but most of the time I find out its none to accurate heh.

FWIW, I use a different formula than Saintjo. I use a ratio of 60% leadership / 40% experience.
so in your case : player 1 = 2.8 player 2 = 3.0 player 3 = 2.4 player 4 = 3.0 So you could use either player 2 or 4. And #1 probably wouldn't make much of a difference either...

I'll just use my #4 player then because with saintjo's formula he is the best and he is still tied for the best from FFF's formula so he is the best either way!
Thanks guys ![]()

I also use the same ratio, although I do it with 3 times leadership and 2 times the experience, giving a 60/40 ratio... FM
