Training!

Training, training time is near
Time for laughter and time for cheer
We've been good, but we can't last
Hurry, training, hurry fast

Want a keeper to stop a shot,
Me, I want Hieu to pop!
We can hardly stand the wait
Please, training, don't be late

Training, training time is near
Time for laughter and time for cheer
We've been good, but we can't last
Hurry, training, hurry fast

Want a keeper to stop a shot,
Me, I want Jerome to pop!
We can hardly stand the wait
Please, training, don't be late!

----------------

Good luck everyone!

Thought I'd get an early start, I have football tonight!

+6/-2 on form
+12/-5 on value

Very nice update on form and value after last weeks value dump for nearly the whole team. Nicest thing about tonight though is this:

Will Johnson (28694865)
19 years, solid form, healthy
A controversial person who is balanced and upright.
Has wretched experience and passable leadership abilities.

Nationality: USA
Total Skill Index (TSI): 25 140
Wage: 4 653 US$/week
Owner: Fizzle United
Warnings: 0

Stamina: wretched Goaltending: magnificent
Playmaking: disastrous Passing: disastrous
Winger: disastrous Defending: disastrous
Scoring: disastrous Set Pieces: disastrous

Screamin' Seamen Training Update

A pretty good week for SSFC here at the tail end of the season.

Form was +5/-3, with the starters at +2/0.

We also had three players pop this week.

Jesper Baadsgaard (36041553)
17 years, solid form, healthy
I speak Dansk!

A pleasant guy who is calm and righteous.
Has disastrous experience and disastrous leadership abilities.

Nationality: Danmark
Total Skill Index (TSI): 2 660
Wage: 1 224 US$/week including 20% Bonus
Owner: Screamin' Seamen
Warnings: 0

Stamina: inadequate Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: excellent Passing: passable
Winger: poor Defending: inadequate
Scoring: poor Set Pieces: poor

Jesper is our newest trainee, and is still a couple of seasons away from a starting spot. He'll make a very nice offensive or two-way midfielder someday.

Ivan Richardy (16376418)
20 years, passable form, healthy
I speak Dansk!

A popular guy who is temperamental and dishonest.
Has wretched experience and weak leadership abilities.

Nationality: Danmark
Total Skill Index (TSI): 5 910
Wage: 1 496 US$/week including 20% Bonus
Owner: Screamin' Seamen
Warnings: 0

Stamina: excellent Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: formidable Passing: passable
Winger: solid Defending: poor
Scoring: wretched Set Pieces: passable

Ivan is a nice versatile player, who can play on the wing or as an offensive midfielder. He has been transfer listed (check the formidable and up thread).

Jaimy van de Kerkhof (15183139)
20 years, inadequate form, healthy
I speak Nederlands!

A sympathetic guy who is calm and honest.
Has poor experience and inadequate leadership abilities.

Speciality: Quick

Nationality: Nederland
Total Skill Index (TSI): 12 820
Wage: 4 058 US$/week including 20% Bonus
Owner: Screamin' Seamen
Warnings: 0

Stamina: excellent Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: magnificent Passing: wretched
Winger: weak Defending: poor
Scoring: wretched Set Pieces: inadequate

A possession-type midfielder with excellent speed, Jaime has been transfer-listed as well, to make way for one of our up-and-coming trainees in the starting rotation (again, check the formidable and up thread).

Me? I lost my top middie (20 yo Magnificent) to a three week injury last sunday. I lost my #2 middie (19/20 yo outstanding...I don't remember his age) to a 3 week injury this wednesday. I also lost my #6 middie (18 yo Excellent) to a 4 week injury this wednesday. Damned injuries.

I did get my 33 yo winger to pop to excellent PM though.

Mick Starks is almost ready to get back into the starting lineup after most of a season in the form crapper. Been a mixed bag of form this week, at best. Along with Starks, Johansen (my offensive central defender) has been out of the lineup for a few weeks and his form is now down to wretched :P

But, on the training front, there's been some good news:

Roland Janni
TSI = 10 290 , 19 years, passable form
Has disastrous experience and disastrous leadership abilities [Powerful]

Stamina: solid Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: brilliant Passing: passable
Winger: weak Defending: wretched
Scoring: wretched Set Pieces: weak

Since I started, there's always been something about "world class" in my mind. It's the difference between good and great. Maybe it's because it's two words or double the level of the players when I started. But, whatever the case, former Hippo YP Thomas Little is now world class. So, in the words of Asok from the short lived Dilbert cartoon: "I shall now begin the paperwork to make you a god".

Thomas Little
TSI = 30 670 , 21 years, passable form
Has poor experience and poor leadership abilities

Stamina: excellent Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: world class Passing: solid
Winger: poor Defending: weak
Scoring: poor Set Pieces: passable

I should know better, but...

...as they say, the only stupid questions are the ones not asked.

I'm training PM, and as we head to the offseason, I want to switch and get some stamina training. If I change the training now, it will still be PM this week until the update, and then switch after that, right?

Nyet, Comrade. Wait until Friday (or Thursday night after training has taken place) to change over to stamina. It will train whatever is listed at the time the training update takes place. Good thing you asked

Okay, so the next training update takes place at 03:30 on 10/01 - wait until after that update to switch?

Yeah, updates happen on Thursday night (USA time, depends on your time zone exactly what time). So, the next day you'll want to change up. Or any time between then and the next Thursday before training time.
