OT: NCAA 2005 to Madden 2005 question

Thought I'd ask here before registering elsewhere and asking.

When players are imported into Madden from NCAA, what school are they listed under? I played NCAA for 10 seasons before I got Madden, and I don't remember the names of the players that I thought would show up in Madden.

Do I have to use a normal school like Penn State (no jokes needed, they're a joke all by themselves) to be able to identify my players in Madden easily?

Thanks for the info

They're listed under the school the played for. Thus you aren't gonna see players in the draft from Hampton or Princeton or Dartmouth or another small school like you would if you just used the in game generated draft classes.

That sounds contradictory to me. Did you mean they'll be listed under the school they played for except for small schools? But there are players from small schools in the NFL.

It'd make sense that they'd be under the team I selected as my favorite college team, or as Other.

Think he means on a NCAA converted draft class it's pretty unlikely you'd see many recruits from those schools whereas in Madden it's much more random.

I'm not sure about 1-aa teams, but if a player played for a 1-a team, it'll show up on his card in Madden. If he played for a created school it'll say N/A for his college on Madden.

The miscommunication seems to be that you seem to think that only the draftable players from the USER'S team goes into an imported draft class? All the players from all the teams in your NCAA season that are eligible for the draft go into the file. Because NCAA 200_ doesn't have all the small schools, when you import a draft class you will not see players from all those small schools, just the 1A ones. (And maybe the 1AA ones, I am not sure.) So the answer to your question is a player will show up as coming from whatever school he came from, which could be from the team you controlled if he was one of your players, or it could be a player from a team you played against. Unless hes from a user created school, where it won't show his school.
