My first new car!

What better way to celebrate paying off my 1999 Dodge Dakota, then trading it in on a 2004 Dodge SRT-4?

I'm 33 years old and have never had a brand new car. Bought one for my wife two years ago, but I always bought used. After test driving this car, I asked when I could pick it up.

My dad owns a dealership, so I bought it for $750 under invoice, I also sold my motorcycle. Anyhow, I told my wife it was a family car - hey it has to be, it has 4 doors.

I'll miss it this week as I'm in Colorado for training, I told my wife it has 177 miles on it and it better have 177 miles on it when I get home.

If any of you get a chance to test drive one, do so.. it's so much fun to drive.

I'll be posting something like this in 2-3 years i'm sure. 2 years ago I/we bought the newest car I have ever had. It was/is a 2001 Dodge Ram van that had 9,000 miles on it. And that felt pretty good.

Thats a nice looking little car. I have not had a "car" before, always being old Jeeps or the like, and we are leaning towards getting a actual car next time, something with better fuel mileage then a van...

Yes it is. I was in debt, married into debt and now after 3 years, my wife and I are finally getting on top of our finances.

I still can't believe I could afford this car.

Yeah, my truck had higher gears so the gas mileage was terrible - it still ran great and had 113,000 miles on it. Even this 2.4L turbo charged SRT-4 gets around 30 miles/gal on the highway.
