Help with FM2005 Demo, please

I am ashamed to say that after trying out the new FM2005 Demo, I cannot make the game advance through the days and games. My "continue" button is shaded out on the forward arrow. What the f#&#($& am I doing wrong?

Have you been playing for 6 game months?

No, I just started. I haven't done anything except set my team and tactics. I can't get the game to move forward in time at all. In fact, my "continue" button really only acts as a back/forward button through various screens I have been to. It doesn't seem to move the game itself forward though.

Are you hitting the 'continue' label itself or the arrows beside it?

The arrows act as 'back/forward' buttons ala Internet Explorer, clicking on continue will continue the game ...

Hope this helps,

Marc
PS. Pressing space is a short-cut to continue game

Yep. What Marc said. Press the actual word "continue." WAIT A SECOND...SPACE IS A SHORTCUT FOR CONTINUE!?!?! AND I JUST SPENT ALL MY WEEKEND MOVING THE MOUSE TO CLICK THAT TINY LITTLE CONTINUE BUTTON?!?!!? $*($&%$%!!! Now I guess I'll just have to go home and try using the spacebar. That's justified right, I mean...it'll make a totally different game experience.

Thanks. It works and I a complete moron. I knew there was a simple answer, but I was dead in the head last night. Click on the WORD "continue." Who would have thunk it?

I never got CM 4 or 03/04, only played 01/02. FM 2005 pretty much kicks ass from what I have seen, especially 2d match. I am pretty much ready to call this the greatest non-action computer game in history.

Vin I'd hafta agree with you on calling it the greatest non-action sports game. Now if SI would only buy Jim and pay him GOBS of money to bring FOF into the SI fold to complete their portfolio, just imagine how amazing FOF could be with the level of media interaction and player detail and personality in CM combined with Jim's attention to statistical and procedural difficulty that he'd be able to put in (RFA's anyone?) using the CM code. Every night before I go to bed I say a little prayer for this, and if it happens maybe I'll start going back to church/believing in God.

Dare to dream. But SI did it with EHM (and OOTPB, I think). So perhaps, there is a chance . . . . Mark and Jim, I am more than willing to set up a little meeting at my office in Seattle if you are both interested.
