Edgar Martinez
A tribute to Edgar Martinez
I'm not one to normally view athletes as heroes or role models, but Edgar Martinez is an exception - a great player who, by all accounts, is an even better human being. Thank you for all the great memories Edgar, I'm the better for having had the privilege of watching you play, and thank you for the tremendous example you've set throughout your career on how to play the game, how to be a great teammate and how to be a true role model. The game of baseball will be a little less wonderful without you. |

I hate Edgar Martinez--but only because he's been killing us for years. My nod to a great hitter.
