Michigan vs Minnesota .. on ESPN Classic?

It looks as if ESPN's bottomline is reporting Michigan vs Minnesota will be aired on ESPN Classic. Kind of weird, as I don't recall ever seeing a live game on ESPN Classic. Anyone ever seen that?

and to dola, I know it's because of baseball/red river shootout, but just thought this was incredibly odd.

So I guess this redefines 'instant classic?'

I think they said they are replaying last years game right before this years. Not positive on that though.

Nice. Perhaps ESPN is just rolling the dice on this one.

One of the Detroit papers reported that this will be the first live football game ever on Classic.

Maybe they'll put Brent Musburger on it for old times' sake.

Odd.

I was hoping it would be on ESPN's on-line gameday package. It's not. Though there are quite a few good games on there this week: Texas/Oklahoma, Ohio State/Wisconsion, and Cal/USC to name a few. Not too shabby. If I can restore my PC by then, I may plunk down the $19.95 and watch me some college football for once. Lady H_B will not be too pleased with this I am afraid.
