OT: Quincy starting for Jets for next 2-4 weeks

I want to root against him, I really do. There is just a tiny itty-bitty part of me that still wants him to do well. Plus I like Herman Edwards.

This sucks.

Good luck to the Jets. He's lousy. Save your rooting.

I guess I hope he holds serve until Pennington gets back. Edwards has done a nice job this season and I would not like to see it go to waste.

Yeah, Edwards has done a nice job not going 1-4 like he usually does.

That guy is wacky. Beyond that to have Paul Hackett as your O-Coordinator is ponderous.

Stats, shmats. Put Quincy in the Redskin offense and you'd give anything to see Brunell in there.

Paul Hackett is hit or miss. When he hits one it's a moonshot. He has Norv Turner syndrome.

Clinton Portis has a better QB rating in the Redskins offense than Mark Brunell right now.

Having watched Quincy a bunch last year and Brunell this year, I would definitely take Q. Brunell is just awful out there and stats don't even tell the story.

Well I know this. Quincy never played as bad of a game in his Cowboy career than Vinny did yesterday.

Henson starts the Seattle game.

Reasoning: Stupid to put him in against Philly. The Bears are on Thanksgiving so short week to make a gameplan, and then they have 10 days before Seattle.

You win. Brunell has actually done more on offense for everyone Washington has played this year.

It's enough for me to long for the likes of Heath Shuler, Jeff George, and Danny Wuerffel.

I like your thinking (also stupid to put him in against Baltimore). The Bears' defense is better than people give it credit for too.

Quincy can't screw up handing the ball off to Curtis Martin... can he? Maybe they'll let him pass on the rare occasion to shock the other team.

my suggestion? Curtis and Lamont and 50 running plays.

Just out of curiousity, of those who said Q Carter was worse than Brunell, and the Jets season was over, look at those Brunell stats yesterday. Carter was up against the Ravens D, and Brunell was up against the Cincy D. Now I would have to say that since the Ravens D is so much better, then Carter should've posted worse numbers than brunell. Brunell continues to amaze all of the Redskins fans. His passing yards didn't even eclipse double digits.

In all fairness, our secondary is actually pretty good, Tory James leads the league in INTs (6).. but yes, Brunell was fucking horrible yesterday.

I'm hoping Gibbs gives the ball to Ramsey the rest of the season... no other choice makes sense to me...

I am not even a skins fan, but the choice is so easy. I think anyone on this board could do better and a parapalegic blind ape has at least a 75% chance of doing better than 1 for 8 and 6 yards and 1 INT. (not sure if those stats are accurate).

Actually, a co-worker and I were discussing that for the sake of winning now, the Skins might be better served playing Tim Hasselback than Ramsey.

If they do that, Skins fans may end up saying next week, that they are better off lining up without a QB. If they can't find a decent QB, save the cap space and use it elsewhere.

The Jets need to win the next 3 (Browns, Cardinals, Texans), because the last 4 are going to be tough (Steelers, Seahawks, Pats, Rams). I'm hoping, with Chad back, they can take the Seahawks. I don't hold out much hope vs.the Steelers, Pats, and Rams (with the Jets secondary). Still, that would make them 10-6 with a chance for a wild card.

They really needed to beat the Ravens. That team was quite beatable, especially given the Jets dominance for the first half. One play triggered a total collapse. It was painful to watch...that and the coaching staff trying to count.

The Rams lost to the Phins. They are a far below average team masquerading with a good record due to their poor division, plus playing the NFC South. They have not beaten a good team yet (have only played one). It is sad, but they only play 5 real NFL teams all year, and they have 4 of those games left - plus they will lose at Arizona. They are a 7-9 team, hardly unbeatable by the Jets.

They also play against the entire NFC South, thus adding to the ease of their schedule from being in the West.

I wouldn't consider the NFC South easy wins. Carolina is banged up but can still give you a good game. Saints have no secondary, and are still in position for a wildcard. The Bucs are a huge D team and are jeckyl and hyde when it comes to games. The Falcons are always a threat with Vick. I don't consider "Playing the NFC South" as being clear wins, IMHO, anything can happen.

Anything can happen in any game, but that doesn't mean Carolina is tough...they've won 2 games (and one against the 49ers, who are 1-8). The only other division I'd consider as easy as the NFC South and West is (sadly) the NFC East.

I'm sure you can look at any division and pick out the sacrificial lamb. I didn't mean that Carolina is a great team, but you can't walk into any game assuming you will easily win. In any case, the NFC sucks, and the AFC will dominate. I'm not sure why this thread went to an overall NFL picture instead of a Quincy Carter blows discussion.

If I was a GM at this point, and I had to choose between, oh lets say, Q Carter and Brunell, I would def go with Carter.
