Maybe you're using the wrong browser.

I think I'm going to wait a week or two to upgrade, until the extensions have time to catch up.

I agree. I don't even see the point in upgrading before then, it would be more like a downgrade. Are there even any differences between the most recent pre-release and the official one?

WeatherFox is really good. Tabbed Browser preferences can be handy. And good themes, of course, are a must.

The only problem I have with Firefox is the lack of a [good] Google Toolbar. The latest version functions alright, but can't be repositioned to an acceptable spot.

I just don't understand people and their infatuation with plugins in Firefox. Nothing like slowing down a fast browser with extranous features.

"I need a weather plugin" - just go to weather.com or noaa.gov
"I need a dictionary plugin" - just go to dictionary.com
"I need a google plugin" - well, there's that whole google.com site...

I don't get you people.

Will the new file finally overwrite the old version or do I still need to uninstall the version I'm using now first?

I don't understand the need for a google toolbar. Don't you have the search box next to the address box? I have mine set so I can search Google, Amazon, Dictionary.com, Wikipedia, and ebay right from there.

Some extensions are a must such as either Double Click Tab to Close or the one that puts an X in tabs for closing them, and of course the one so you can right click and select the option to open pages in IE.

Well one good reason for extensions is that it helps out a web designer/developer tremendously. The Web Developer Toolbar is one extension that I can't do without. Plus if anyone has ever used the Stumbleupon extension, they have discovered a wealth of sites that they would not have normally found. So I am in the Extension Camp.
