In Red Bank... a Dayton Boulevard business owner faces sexual battery charges for allegedly spanking two of his female employees.

Detectives say the 19-year-old women were spanked by their employer at the Sno Biz on Dayton Boulevard.

They claimed their boss, 57-year-old Paul Eugene Levengood, made them sign a contract saying, quote, "I give Gene permission to bust my behind any way he sees fit."

Detective Lamance says the girls certainly did not take the wording of the contract literally, but only in the context that they would be disciplined for mistakes.

The Cleveland man faces a preliminary court hearing in Red Bank next Tuesday morning.

Maybe according to current laws, but I still say that a business owner ought to have the right to run his business however he wants to, as long as he doesn't force anything on anyone, or defraud anyone. If it is his known policy, then they have a choice whether or not to work for him.

Um, I wouldn't, because I happen to believe that would be your right. Granted, you'd lose the case in a heartbeat, but my point from the start is that I firmly disagree with controls on business practices.

I'd actually tend to agree if the rights of Unions and for workers to unionize were reinstated. Otherwise, I've seen enough abuses by businesses - I'd turn to a life of crime instead.
