Hey everybody,
I'm in sort of a dilemma I was cruising eBay looking for a copy of Football Manager 2005 to see what I could dig up when I came across a person selling a copy of the game for $11.99, I checked out his auction and after discerning it was the real game I jumped at it and clicked the "Buy It Now!" button. In my haste I didn't even think to look at where the seller was from, turns out he's in Bangkok Thailand Not that where he lives is a problem, but suddenly I couldn't help but think that this might be a scam, even though this guys feedback rating is in the thousands (and positive). IIRC, somebody on this board had done something similar to this, although I don't remember the details. Just looking for thoughts & opinions. Thanks.

If it's from Thailand, it a pretty good chance that it's a pirated game.

Did it mention anything about what language the game was, ie English, Italian etc?

He did say the game was in English, yes. Directly from his auction ... "The game is in English. It is the ORIGINAL official Copy. All the game content is in English, Brand New and Sealed just like those that in your local shop, except the box and manual are in FOREIGN LANGUAGE."

Now that leads me to believe that the game is indeed pirated, but keep us informed. I mean how could the game be in English and have foreign packaging? |

Becuase the game itself comes with several languages that you choose from when you install the game. At least, that's how it was with CM and EHM, so I'd imagine it's the same with FM.

Aye- the game is limited to a few European langauges, but I've certainly seen legit copies of games in East Asia in different languages - its entirely possible its legal.

I'd think so too. I bought the French version of CM4, called "L'entraîneur 4" and the manual was in French in the box, but I was allowed to install and play it in whichever language I wanted... FM
