5.1 Draft Review Oddity?

I'm doing an Empty Cupboard start, and just got to my first Draft Review. There was 1 A+, 26 A's, 2 A-'s, and 1 C-. The C- was my team. Is this related to the Empty Cupboard start, or have others seen similar results with 5.1?

Probably just you...Jim's probably had it with you trying to "beat" the draft in his games and he figured he'd get you for a change!!!!!

I haven't tried the patch yet...so, I'm just replying to be a smartass...mission accomplished!!

I was wondering if our information about draft picks would still be applicable. I haven't made it to the draft yet, but I'll probably get there this morning. I've been playing a pretty extended career with the Colts, and in the 15 or so seasons that I've played, the lowest draft score I've received is a B. I'll see what kind of grade I get and then post again.

What determines your draft rating? I have been trying to figure this out for a good long time. I can have 3 budding stars out of a draft and still get a C+.

I could be wrong, but I think it is based on how well you fill your teams needs.

No players from the original file can be on my team. Sim through one season, then cut every player, and start by drafting and picking up 1st-year free agents only. Then in the second year, only 1st and 2nd-year players can be used, etc.

thanks

when you cut every players, you do that for every team or just yours?

and wont it affect salary cap when you cuts all the players?

It isn't really a big deal about the cap. The player costs for the first several years of Empty Cupboard are inconsequential, since there are no expensive FA's on the team.

I've never tried the empty cupboard thing but may have to give it a whirl.

I think the game just does a very cursory comparison between roster strength from the previous year and post draft roster strength. I say this because I've always gotten C-'s as well when playing empty cupboard games. Which makes little sense because I've clearly improved my team more than anyone else from the beginning of the draft to the end.
