Bruised, but training...
Does this mean that I can insert him in the starting lineup? If I do, how much risk do I run in him not playing up to form or getting injured worse?
Lyndon Richards (22494811) +1 32 years, passable form, bruised, but training

Hmmm... I would sit him out just because of his age. If he got hurt again he would probably be out for a very long time. I could be wrong, though.

The player needs to be "Bruised but playing" in order for you to be able to insert him in the lineup. Also, "Bruised but playing" is known as "band-aid" status. As long as there's a red "+" and a number next to a player's name, he is not able to play.

He can't play, he is just trained (e.g if you were training stamina or set pieces he would get training).

Well his name is not in Red in the drop down menu and it allows me to save the lineup when I put him in there...so that's why I was wondering. Will he still not suit up if I were to leave him in there?

You should double-check on the day of the match, but if his name is not in red, then Hattrick is estimating that he will be available to play by that point. It's not perfect, I'm not sure how well it takes doctors and age into account (e.g. I know I've had a player who was originally in red for a match end up eligible to play).

See what Mr. Wednesday said about players being red and matches in the future. I always go with "better safe than sorry" and I check after the last update before a match to see if my player has turned to bandaid and is now available to play. Also, as mentionned by thenereus, if you play him when he is on a band-aid, and he does get injured, he has a bigger chance of being injured for some longer period of time. I've played band-aid players plenty of times and I probably got lucky cause I have not suffered many injuries and the ones I had were not long ones, but I remember one of Tellisto's players suffered a +8 injury while playing on a band-aid... No need to tell you that +8 at 32 years of age is a loooooong recovery... FM

Yeah I'll probably play it safe since my Series VI opponent has not touched his team since taking over last week. But I just purchased him to add some experienced to my team and was just anxious to get him out there.
Definitely some good insight though. Thanks guys.
