"No players from the original file can be on my team. Sim through one season, then cut every player, and start by drafting and picking up 1st-year free agents only. Then in the second year, only 1st and 2nd-year players can be used, etc."

what you do when its 3rd year and more? do you get 1st yr or 2nd yr players only for free agents? that the part i am not clear on..

Yeah, third year would be only 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year players... Fourth year would be only 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year players...and so on.

OPU is also pretty fun. You just need to make sure to avoid running the ball too much, cause if you have a half decent back, you will likely win for the first few years. Basically in an OPU career, you start with 1 player in a CSV file, and the computer generates the rest of the players you need to fill out the career. So when you draft, you are drafting from among a bunch of 15/50 types. I made a file with a 10 million dollar cap and all small market city teams. Definately another nice time waster.

You're jumping right in with both feet, huh?

Nothing like playing an empty cupboard career the first time you fire the game up.

Todd

i might run two different league

i might run the fictional league by doing empty cupboard. i been reading skydog dynasty on it..seems interesting and challenging...

and a realplayer one..playing it normal way...

There's nothing like playing for the first time. It was a serious challenge for a while.
