Get your Nationals Gear!

Looks like they used the Senators logo perhaps? I like the concept of the Blue home cap and the Red away one. I think a few teams do it already in MLB. |

The hat is so generic it almost looks fake, like a hat Joe Blow's softball team might wear.

Not to worry...the name will probably change with the new ownership anyway.

I think the hat, well the logo at least, just seems to be missing something.
As for the name. I was hoping for either the Senators or the Grays. Nationals was further down the list. My favorite among the less than serious name options was the Washington Insiders. |

Yeah, if you go to the Washington Baseball Club web site, their site has 1) Senators as #1 and 2) Grays are number 2.
If they're named the owners by MLB, expect a name change. It's just a marketing ploy and not a bad one, really. This was just a stopgap measure, I can't see any potential owner seeing this name as the one to keep forever.

Senators is the name of choice, some complication with one of the movers and shakers that brought the team to the DC area. Has to do with DCers not having representation in the Senate. Of course, having a team based in Washington just has to include a full dose of politics to go with it.
