Rome:TW for $29.99

For those who don't have it yet, Electronics Boutique is having a 7 AM-Noon early bird special on Friday (11/26), where they are selling Rome:TW and CoH (among other deals) for $29.99.

Rome:TW is one of the best games I have played and this is a pretty great deal for those on a tight budget.

On a related note, I saw Medieval:Total War for $9.99 at WalMart the other day. If the Total War demos had anything other than fighting battles, I might have considered picking it up. Alas, since their demos focus on the part of the game that I'm least interested in I've vowed not to get any TW game until it hits the $5 bin.

Seems like they had M:TW and the expansion Viking Invasion as a package for $30 about 6 months ago. If that has also dropped in price, I would imagine it would also be quite a deal.

Oh yeah. The expansion makes the came much more fun. (And not just from the viking era, they do a lot in the expansion to make the normal time period more enjoyable)

We'll see after a patch or ten on Rome, but M:TW was still WAY more fun for me.

I agree, from what I have seen and heard. When I was at EB yesterday, RTW was there but I did not buy it because 1) I prefer the medieval time period better and 2) lack of challenge against the AI in battles is a major turn off.

I have been clobbering the AI so far. When they assault my cities and my wall is breeched, I just opt for the sully forth option. Then put all my archers on the wall with fire arrows and wait for the idiots to charge the breech.

It's too easy. But it's still fun!
