if Vin Diesel would have quit after The Fast And The Furious, he could have gone down as one of the coolest actors ever.

sigh. another one bites the dust.

In my opinion that might've been true if he'd quit after Pitch Black. Alas.

This is a "Mr. Nanny" and "Kindergarten Cop" re-make. That's all. Big tough fellas hanging with cute, little kids. It's gold, Jerry! GOLD!

Sorry, but I see this as a reason to keep women out of FOFC.

As long as the previews aren't showing the only funny moments of the movie, this looks like it could be a GREAT comedy. I've put this on my must-see list. Seriously, the previews showed some great stuff.

As it stands, The Rock is the only cool action movie star in my book.

It's close but at least Mariah Carey is female.

Reason #156 that I am glad Oliegirl can be a stay at home mom: She can catch movies during the day by herself if I think that viewing the movie may destroy what few brain cells I have left.

(also, and Oliegirl can confirm this, my comments after seeing this preview: "Wow, so he just skipped the part where you become a legitimate action star and went straight to Kindergarden Cop, huh?")

Actually, I was dead serious. My wife and I were both roaring through the preview. This has the potential to be a very funny comedy. It looked like they were handling the scenes just right. I really am looking forward to this one.

Don't forget in Boiler Room he sold stock as well. He's well rounded.

I think he chooses horrible material, but this could actually be decent.

I think QuikSand would put a price tag of $1 billion on this one.

I agree with gstelmack.

Conceptually, this sounds as horrible as people are making it here. But the preview was pretty damn funny. If that carries through to the movie, it could be a fun little movie.

I don't think so. I just saw the trailer and they may only be showing the best parts as well.

To each their own, I guess, although once again, we are talking about the preview here. Liking the preview just means I put it on my little "watch for" list in my head, so I can keep an eye on any indications of whether or not it;s going to be good before actually seeing it.

Usually I get a pretty good idea at least a week before it comes out (forinstance, heard about Alexander's problems at least a month in advance).

How can you not like VD turning an elf-vs-gnome fight bedroom story into a retelling fo one of his combat experiences?
