FOF rating Help please

1) what is solecismic rating? is that only for the QB?

2) what is a bureau rating?

3) it's been said that you want low volatility in the early rounds, and high volatility in the late rounds. what the reason behind that?

thanks

The Solecismic rating is a measure of intelligence, it is the equivalent of the Wonderlic test that rookies take.

The bureau rating is the average rating by all the scouts(I think, I'm not totally sure).

Volatility is a measure of sureness. If it's low, there is less risk of your scout being wrong in how he grades the player. The higher it is, the more likely the player might be better or worse than the reported ratings. So, for high draft picks, you want to be sure or else you'll make expensive mistakes, where with later draft picks you can take chances that the player might turn out to be better than reported.

That being said, volatility is not something I consider very often. I look at the physical skills(40 times, bench press, agility, Sol,) then the positional ratings. If it's close I might take into account volatility.
