Here we go...

The questions:

1. Name a team going to a BCS bowl game.

USC 30
Oklahoma 5
Utah 2
Texas 1
UCLA 1

I was a bit surprised with the way USC dominated this one. People went with the number 1 team overwhelmingly. Because of the Texas/Cal publicity, I figured Texas would have a better showing, and I thought Utah would get some recognition for being a non-BCS team. Interesting that Auburn is left out again.

2. F, C, GF, BF HF, 3R or RS?

F 14
GF 9
C 6
RS 5
BF 3
3R 2

A pretty good spread here. Only HF fails to get a mention.

3. Name a current NFL player who played at the University of Miami (FL).

Ray Lewis 19
Clinton Portis 6
Willis McGahee 4
Vinny Testaverde 3
Jeremy Shockey 2
Warren Sapp 2
Edgerin James 2
Ed Reed 1

Another decent spread, with a clear winner. The first five entries I opened had different answers here, so I was hoping for a close race, but Lewis soon pulled away.

4. Fold, Call or Raise?

Raise 33
Call 4
Fold 2

A deal breaker. I expected Raise to win, but maybe not by this margin.

5. Name a major league baseball free agent.

Pedro 24
Beltran 12
Randy Johnson 1
Jason Varitek 1
Carlos Delgado 1

I figured Pedro would win, but I expected a wider range of answers.

6. Name a classic holiday movie.

It's a Wonderful Life 26
A Christmas Story 4
A Christmas Carol 2
Christmas Vacation 2
Scrooge 2
How the Grinch Stole Christmas 2
Miracle on 34th Street 1

Another deal breaker. Maybe we would have gotten a broader range of answers had I not used the word "classic."

All in all, I'm going to have to give myself a middling grade on the questions. We had four deal breaker questions, which I think is too many. I'll have to win again to make a better effort.

And now the pack:

Now there's something we've never seen before, QS at the top, MIJB at the bottom.

Stupid me for:
* putting UCLA where I ment USC
* going with Edge
* knowing nothing about baseball (hey, at least I mentioned Beltran!)
* thinking that 'A Christmas Carol' would be the classic movie

But Pedro is the more well known name. Plus, he's been in the news more lately with him talking to the Yankees and all...

I finished so low, I knew I should have put Die Hard as the answer to the classic Christmas movie.

Beltran is the best position player, Pedro is the best pitcher. And Pedro's been involved in more negotations to this point, at least as far as what's been reported in the media.

I can't believe I scored 3 #1's and still finished in the bottom 1/3rd.

But he's not in the news as much being his demands started at 10 years $200 mill, which no team is close to willing to touch.
