Playing it. Loving it. Getting better at it as time goes on.

One question. What is the 5/8 scholarship rule and what are the pros/cons of using it/not using it? I switched it on when I started the career, but realized that I have no idea what it means.

5/8 rule is no longer in effect in real life college basketball. The rule said that (in addition to your total scholarship limits), you could sign 5 players in one season, but no more than 8 players in a two year span.

Now, so long as you don't go over your total ship limit, you can sign as many as you want in a single season.
