Dangerous month for footy lately.
Lazio handed an arena ban for their first European game next year (after a series of incidents in a game against FK Partizan that showed flares going off, racist taunts and missles thrown by both team's supporters.. (FK Partizan was fined too)
Roma plays two European games in front of an empty stadium after a missle hits a referee. The Spanish crowd makes racial taunts at a couple of English player (after Spain's manager called one player a "Black S*it" A couple racial taunting incidents shame the English game as well.. And now, they are forced to abandon a Spanish League game as Basque seperatists called a bomb threat in to the Bernabeau (Real Madrid's home stadium).. Not a safe time to be a footy fan..

It has been an ugly stretch of incidents. Very ugly.
That said, we should try to focus on the good in the sport. Like, say, oh, I don't know, EVERTON!!! The Blues finally spanked the Red Shites in the Merseyside derby and claimed second place overall in the Premiere league. Everton are perhaps one the greatest stories in football this year. On the verge of financial ruin. Their best player (Rooney) sold. Everyone's pick for relegation. What do they do? Play gritty, hardworking, excellent football. Moyse has them playing strong, disciplined football. They don't win pretty, they don't blow anyone away, but they are winning. It'd be stunning if they could keep up this form throughout, but it's been a hell of a ride thus far. Thus far the "Ewing Theory" has been in full effect. The team has bought into Moyes system entirely and everyone is plugging away, giving it their all. There is no waiting for or relying on the Roone to get them by. We don't care what the Red Shites say! What the fuck do we care? 'Cause we always know there's gonna be a show, when the Everton boys are there!
