Darren Woodson to Retire

One of the only players I ever liked from Dallas, and probably the last link to those glory teams is finished.

While not a Cowboys fan, I agree it is sad.

That's two Woodsons in one year...Rod and Darren.

Hope he can be a leader cuz he doesn't have Woodson's skills as a cover guy.

True, but one could say that Woodson didn't have those abilities early in his career either. Woodson played close to the line of scrimmage and was known as a big-hitter, just like Williams. Woodson's probably one of my favorite players of all time, but I don't think he hit people as hard as Roy Williams does. If Williams can develop the coverage skills, he'll be absolutely amazing and even better than Woodson.

Jeeber's right about him needing to step up. I think that's the one thing that defense was missing this year, not necessarily Woodson's abilities (although that was certainly missed) but Woodson's leadership.
