It tastes to me just like drinking a fucking pine tree. Why in the world would anyone want juniper involved in anything?! |

back in my younger days i drank lots of cheap gin. Plastic bottle cheap. Usually straight, sometimes mixed with a little sprite. I never thought it tasted that bad. Of course, after many a night on the bathroom floor i went off gin forever. Sometimes me and my brother talk about going shot for shot with some plastic bottle cheap gin just for the hell of it... then we think better of it and return to our beer

Most Gin and Tonic's taste like drinking a Christmas Tree. Especially Tanqueray

Everclear. Just head to Nevada and chill at the river with a cooler of Everclear and fruit punch/Sprite.
Good stuff |

Ah Young Grasshopper You have so much to learn. I too used to believe this, in fact I have stated the above many times. In college, my roommate and I knew we had to go buy more booze, when all we had left was Gin(almost certainly Gilbey's or BeefEater). Some years later I was introduced to Bonbay Saphire Gin. It is worlds removed from the swill named in the thread title. It aint scotch, but it compares favorably to most Vodka. Also, only slightly further down the Gin Food Chain is Tanqueray. Tanqueray, although I am unsure of the spelling, is of reasonable quality. |

OT-
A few years ago I tried scotch, JW Black, to me it tasted like a smokehouse. Awful. |

I still remember those "Mad Dog" days with my drinking buddies. Drinking it warm at that, never again. Just getting plain shitfaced to the max, never, never.
