worst cover art on an album you LIKE

Albums you love, artwork you hate (or at least do not enjoy).

Radiohead - the bends
that dog. - (self titled)
Less Than Jake - Losing Streak

Here are my worst:

And then, there's Type O Negative, which has the distinction of putting out my favorite and least favorite album covers of all time - Bloody Kisses and the original Origin of the Feces cover, respectively. I don't wanna get banned, so I won't post either of those pics here...

Didn't read need to see a baby's dong on the cover of Nirvana's "Nevermind."

Nevermind was actually my 4th choice. Don't know why I didn't go ahead and add them. If I come across some other choice ones, I'll post them.

And Rufus Wainright needs to be stopped.

Always loved the album. Thought the picture was "cool" when I was 8, but kinda distrubing now...especially when somebody who doesn't know of the band sees it in my collection.

like the album, and it has one of my favorite Prince songs ever ("Dirty Mind" - which I just discovered actually was not written by the prolific purple one. odd), but those black undies and treasure trail...just wrong.

I work at a studio that Prince's old drummer Bobby Z offices out of. You should see some of the promo stuff The Revolution did. There are a couple shots of the band (Dez, Lisa, Prince, Brownmark, Matt Fink, Bobby) where you can just make out Prince's nut sack. (er wait...at least that's what I heard).

DOLA: Matt Fink actually wrote Dirty Mind. Bobby has some writing credits as well.

Paisley Park Studios re-opened to the public not too long ago. My friend got the job of studio manager there. He has some good, recent Prince stories.

Prince called him on his cell phone one morning and told him to get out to the studio as fast as he could for a meeting. Scott (my friend) lives about 30 minutes away but sped out there at 8 am. He gets into his office and calls prince. Prince thanked him for getting there so quick and begun to discuss some studio business for the next half hour.

It turns out, Prince wasn't at the studio...he was at his home in Toronto. The dude just called Scott to see 'how high he would jump". Funny stuff.
